Xavier Faltot aka Xavier Society for the Blind is a DIY media mutant based in Paris. Working on the belief - “If you have skills, protect the culture! ”, he pushes Le Mouvement pour la Culture de Masse, the Mass Culture Movement ( mcmparis ). On the streets, he nails his fanzine “Le guide du renard”, a DIY urban survivor guide. On air, he runs a weekly radio show, Halleloujah! on Radio Campus Paris (93.9 fm). In clubs, he advocates vj subversiveness, mixing his videodrones. On line, he spreads media virus with transmediaquizz – interviews with radical makers, artists, theorists in a post-MTV style. This Spring, he calls for a pre-election civil meeting of digital generation in a 6 hour net/radio transmission “ Qu est ce que ca change” (Give Change a Change) that brings together European ecologists, cultural workers and social networkers to exchange ideas and activate a trans-European nouvelle class(e). His last project is "Another End Of the World is Possible" a series of captivating video portraits of people taking radical action against the root causes of climate change. Ranging from an activist who occupied an airport’s taxi way, to a teacher working with kids on a deprived housing estate, the portraits demonstrate the wonderful diversity of those who will be taking part in this years Camp for Climate Action in the UK : 14th –21st August. www.climatecamp.org.uk He is actually shooting accros Eastern Europe to produce EU07 a series of inspiring short geolocalised videos about alternative culture.
Xavier Faltot aka Xavier Society for the Blind est un média-mutant autoditacte basé à Paris.
