Paris, le 25 février - Devant le ridicule d'un gouvernement qui s'entête à vouloir déconnecter du Net des familles entières sans preuves valables ni procès, la Quadrature appelle les citoyens épris de liberté à procéder au « black-out » de leurs sites, blogs, profils, avatars, etc. Comme en Nouvelle-Zélande, seul pays avec la France où la « riposte graduée » devait être imposée par la loi, pour finalement être repoussée : le Net français s'il veut repousser cette loi imbécile et sa « liste blanche » de sites autorisés doit agir et se draper de noir.
La Nouvelle-Zélande était à ce jour le seul autre pays à part la France ou devait être votée une loi aussi stupide que la « riposte graduée » voulue par N. Sarkozy, défendue par C. Albanel dans la loi HADOPI, et bientôt votée à l'Assemblée nationale. Elle vient d'être repoussée grâce à une mobilisation massive, durant laquelle le web néo-zélandais a procédé à son « black-out » volontaire.
« C'est un signal fort qui illustre la bêtise et la dangerosité de cette loi. La "riposte graduée" fera condamner des innocents, sans preuve valable et sans procès. Commande d'entreprise
William Ternier, agé de 27 ans, est diplômé de l' EHESS, une grande école de sciences sociales. En 2008 la filiale française d'une société de réseau social en ligne très connue lui commande un article de sociologie « édulcoré » et sous un angle « inédit », dans le but de personnaliser sa culture d'entreprise (par le biais du story telling).
Ternier qui a une petite connaissance du sujet des réseaux sociaux, du web et du Net Art notamment, et qui a retourné la problématique de l'utilisation du fameux web 2.0, en ébauche finalement une théorie critique et ironique, dans laquelle émerge selon lui un profil de « créature » largement perméable à un marketing « social ».
Un essai trop critique ou trop expérimental
L' « ébauche de théorie d'une créature du réseau social » qui est née ainsi prend la forme d'un essai sur la question des nouvelles habitudes de consommation d'Internet, des fuites organisées de données personnelles et de l'ère de la marque personnelle (personnal branding) exposée en réseau. A la fin de l'été 2008, l'article est rejeté par son commanditaire, qui abandonne ensuite vraisemblablement le projet.
Réuni en plusieurs parties sur un blog quelques mois plus tard en décembre, cet essai qui voudrait mettre à jour un profil d'utilisateurs des réseaux sociaux devenus des « créatures » perméables « aux flux d'intentions », prenait également une forme expérimentale dans laquelle le langage même est hacké, les participes passés et les noms communs étant doublement accordés au masculin et au féminin afin de rendre visible l'existence des utilisatrices des réseaux du web.
Bruit artistique et numérique autour de la théorie
Fin décembre le site web samizdat.net, centre de convergence et de ressources web incontournable des mouvement critiques des médias et de la société de l'information (hébergeur de la revue Multitudes, du réseau No Pasaran, ou encore d' ACRIMED), place le blog de la « théorie d'une créature du réseau social » en premier plan des ressources d'actualités pérennes sur sa page d'accueil.
Sur myownspace.fr, le double parodique underground de Myspace, une page est aussi créée sur la théorie de la créature du réseau social. Elle accueille, en plus d'extraits écrits, des courtes créations sonores qui sont mélanges de samples, de mélodies originales et de textes de l'essai en question lus par une voix de synthèse française assez réaliste.
1000diez, le créateur de ces pistes sonores qui collabore avec William Ternier, a quand à lui publié sur son propre site (qui clame « No Myspace ») un petit tutoriel pour créer son site web gratuitement afin de se passer des réseaux sociaux fermés, utilisés comme des centres de publicité et de commerce par les groupes de musique.
Libre diffusion
Enfin début février 2008 le pdf intégral de l'article est mis en ligne gratuitement sur le blog de la créature du réseau social, sous license libre. Il peut donc être librement téléchargé et copié. Son auteur William Ternier réfléchit à une potentielle publication papier chez un éditeur qui pourrait respecter en parallèle le principe de la libre diffusion sur le net.

Salut,
on ne se connait pas mais j'ai fait un mini tutoriel sur mon petit site HTML pour explique comment se passer concrêtement de Myspace sur internet et se faire un site gratuitement ailleurs (plateformes libres), ou bien en créer carrément un de toute pièce (HTML) , avec un lecteur de musique etc...
J'espère faire un peu le tour de la question pour que ceux/celles qui cherchent une alternative et n'ont pas de connaissances n'aient pas à passer 3 heures devant l'écran rien que pour rassembler toutes ces infos dispersées.
Si c'est pas clair me le dire sans faille, ça m'aidera à le rendre plus complet ce tuto.

The idea so far is to hold a simultaneous concert in several cities around the world. We initially thought of linking ourselves through the internet, but it would be too complicated, especially for us here in Lebanon. As it stands, we would like to propose a first date: january 20 (also a nice date because this will be the day we will finally get rid of Bush, the biggest criminal of the XXIst century). Flyers and announcements will inculde all the events that will happen in the various cities (at the same time). Ideally the music would be recorded and put up on a website at a later date. Any profit (if any, and even if symbolic) would be sent to Palestine.
I know the time is short especially for those of you living in the modern world where everything has to be planned months in advance. But if you are motivated by this project and are free on this date, and you think you can find a venue (or any kind of place) who would agree to this and understand the special circumstances and emergency of the situation, then please let me know as fast as possible (yes I will be coordinating this as you probably guessed by now).
Finally, you are of course welcome to do this with anyone you would like or you feel should take part. Also, if you think of someone in other cities who also should be part of this please get them into the loop.
I hope we can do this and of course let's wish that by the time we get there this whole madness will be over.

Here's the brief story about how and why this is happening.
Dirar Kalash is a young Palestinian musician and artist living in Haifa. He operates autonomously and is pretty much the only Palestinian guy doing music of this variety over there. Porest met Dirar Kalash through the internet a while back. He is mutual friends with Lebanese musicians and Porest / Liz Allbee cohorts Mazen Kerbaj, Raed Yassin and Sharif Sehnoui.
Dirar and Sharif contacted Porest last week about their idea to hold this worldwide event on Jan 20. We know that our music won't really rake in the bucks, but ultimately, this is also a symbolic event.
Upon searching for a venue to host the event on such short notice, (many thanks to Ben Bracken for helping make this happen at the Mindgaze Hut) we discovered that holding it on Jan 20th would be problematic, as there is much musical competition in the Bay Area that night- and also much anticipated revelry as many Americans celebrate their new president.
In the end, it made more sense to host it on the 19th. After all, it will be January 20th in Palestine while the event is in progress.
